Re: [PLUG] HELP!! Scanner device not working (hardware going offline)

I'm still at my wits end with my scanner.

I decided to find out whether the scanner works under NT.

I installed NT on a spare disk, found the scanner to work fine with
VistaScan (TWAIN software). I did find that I had to switch the scanner
off/ on again to get it to appear under my scsi card. That part is
worrying, but it does seem to then work (under a simple NT config).

I now think that perhaps I need to take my USB controller drivers out of
the kernel (since I don't need them) to see if simplifying my hardware
setup helps. From what I see in the /proc filesystem, my hardware is a
bit cramped.

If no-one help can help me. Does anyone know where I can get PAID Linux
support, so that I don't have to rely on kind hearted souls who have
better things to do?
