Also if you can help me fix the original problem I would be Hi Kristin, You're welcome to mail a copy of your XF86Config (or XF86Config-4 depending on system type) to my home address (cobra@compuserve.com) and I'll give you some ideas. Do you know what resolution you want to run in on startup (for example, 800x600, 1024x768, ...)? It is unusual for windows to open larger than your screen unless you are running a very small resolution like 320x280. Is there a specific application that opens to large? How about xterms, can you see them on screen?
