But she can't boot into Linux with her current tools and config  - she says
that it boots into Windows, and that her rescue disk just continually
re-boots.
"I pop in myboot disk made during installation, and lilo comes up and

That's why I suggested either a reinstall - no chance of losing anything,
since nothing had been put on there - or using a different boot disk - so
she could boot into Linux, and fix her config.

Yes, I said that on the line above - "edit your lilo.conf on that
partition".
