[PLUG] Open Source publishing tools (was Re: Help! Mailing List)

That's a REALLY BAD combination. Publisher generates crappy printed output, which then gets turned into poor quality PDF's.



Does anyone have any suggestions for open source software that help produce the newsletters and distribute them online?
The only product that I can think of that will give you that kind of layout control is StarOffice's WP component - assuming you want a GUI tool as opposed to using some TeX variant. I've seen a couple of commercial products for Linux that will do it (WordPerfect, ArtStream, Applix, etc.).
