Re: [PLUG] Is now the time for Linux on the desktop advocacy?

Best thing to do is to use a windows theme. I like the one from icewm, but
there are others. It even has a windows logo on the start menu! If you
don't tell anyone, they'd never know, unless they are techies in which
case they'd probably be for it. Let's not forget that there are distinct
advantages of loving an OS which is not totally mainstream, but can do
most of the things that windows can do. I realize that this is soon
ending, and this, too. will be good b/c it's going to be nice to have
access to a familiar environment more often.

Basically my boss lets me use linux, but he honestly doesn't know what an
OS is. He was totally confused when I booted a macintosh into linux. He
thinks it's great b/c it's free, but he won't use it b/c nobody else he
knows is using it. They are probably ready to start using it as soon as HE
says that he's using it. Chicken and the egg.
