KDE and GNOME are desktop enviroments, afterstep and friends are window managers. If you want something that is just X and then a window manager then get black box, it is fast and small. If you want to run as an XTerminal you can also do XFree86 -query <ipaddress> To attach to a remote server. For X to be usable though you will more than likely need a window manager. - -ian reinhart geiser - -- ======================================== The moving cursor writes, and having written, blinks on. ======================================== -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7vIOrPy62TRm8dvgRAiAGAJ9Au3IunbkLCOH4e90KKGDRJL4bpQCgn6tj uDORGXR6P3sQjyiV1mdX3Z8= =0Gwd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
