[PLUG] Re: Mail setup questions

There is a lot of Pine info at this URL: http://www.washington.edu/pine/
Pine can be pointed to a remote POP server thusly: {pop3server/pop3}INBOX or
{pop3server/pop3/user=popuserid}INBOX
My POP server is mail.dpagin.net. And, in my case I must enter
paul@dpagin.net instead of just paul as my username. So, my config looks like
this: inbox-path={mail.dpagin.net/pop3/user=paul@dpagin.net}INBOX
Here is a summary of config changes:
user-domain=dpagin.net
smtp-server=smtp.rcn.com
inbox-path={mail.dpagin.net/pop3/user=paul@dpagin.net}INBOX
Thanks Paul. I am still having a mental block with this. Where do I make
the config changes? Does this assume that I am using sendmail and that it
is configured? Remember, my system is completely fresh - nothing has been
configured since the default install of RH7.1 workstation. Is there any way
you can provide directions similiar to: step 1 - do abc, step 2 - do xyz...
I know this is a pain, but I just not seeing how this flows... On top of
that, I am still lost as how to get my email off the pop3 server and into
the inbox!
Thanks again!
John
