Thanks! I hope I've reformatted the above correctly. If so, it sounds like you've got a POP connection trying to talk to an SMTP server. That won't work so well. Either that, or you're seeing popper not wrap things correctly communicating with Sendmail, but since Sendmail seems to be reporting a connection directly from the client, I don't think that's the case.
