        FOP does tables, just fine.  But yes, it's certainly still early...

        I've had good experience with both RenderX, as the PDF quality is 
high since it uses PDFlib (in the commercial version).  There is also a 
"trial" version, which does it's own PDF generation - which is icky...

        Right!

        AbiWord, for example, will allow you to save your word processing 
files as XSL:FO...
