I [perosnaly] don't think it's a bad thing to slant business toward members of PLUG. Doing so, maybe in an indirect way, you end up promoting Linux. If you help the people working with linux make a living at it, you'll idirectly, but significantly, have helped the community. There's plenty of precedant for this in the rest of the coporate world (associations, consortiums, preferred vendor lists, etc.). Of course I wouldn't do it to the detrement of an employer or business. Linux (and Open Source) people are usualy either hungry for opportunity, or just plain interested in what they're doing (passion). This has, in my experience, often lead to better service. There are many ways to support the community, some are just as valueable as writing software. Just my humble opinion. Thanks for listening. Kyle R.
