But to say that they dont WANT or NEED to learn how to build thier own computer just isn't true.  Most people that buy computers from the mass-market retailers are more than likely ignorant to the fact that its at least 50% cheaper to build your own...If they knew that, then I would imagine that they would learn pretty quickly how to build thier own...Its not that they dont want to...they just dont know that they need to or that they can with just a little reading from a number of free resources.
