GREAT!! Good luck. Thanks! Yup, it was the electronics. Now the cluster is back on-line, except for one of the nodes that decided to poop out - These are easy to clone, however, and I only need a new ATA-HDD to do it. Man, this will teach me - BACK-UP! BACK-UP! BACK-UP! Thanks to all, again, Guillermo PS: Regarding the 'freeze/thaw' procedure, I don't find it at all voodoo. I remember that being an excellent procedure to check if transistors and IC's were being affected by temperature... +==================-------------- --- -- - - - - Guillermo Moyna, PhD Assistant Professor of Chemistry Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry University of the Sciences in Philadelphia 600 South 43rd Street Philadelphia, PA 19104-4495 "The only existing things are atoms and empty space.
