RE: [PLUG] Debian specs?

Kind of a drawback if the latest stable is 'too old'.
i am kinda bummed cause i just ordered 2.2r4 cds.
Can you use apt - to upgrade potato to woody - in effect upgrade your entire distro.

Any idea how soon woody will be released? - i know "when its ready".

Get the woody (unstable) distro. Woody is plenty stable and getting
perfect. Potato is too old for any but vanilla server (and rock solid
desktop) use.

Kernels are tougher to compile, IMHO (very humble here, friends) opinion
in rh. I'm still stuck trying to get one to work here. It worked great in
debian everytime, but the stock kernels are a good place to start.
