I am almost certain you should be able to. You may need to install gpg-idea (debian package name. If you try and fail, give us details of the error messages. It is my very strong opinion that the first thing you should do after generating a new key pair is generate its revocation certificate. Put it where you have your secret key, and at least one place else. Once people have your public key, it can never be eliminated - someone will always have it, and the keyring servers will not delete your key at your request. So if you loose your key (or its password), you should always have the revocation certificate available to cryptographically prove that the key is nolonger valid and should not be used. When you create the revocation certificate, it prints it to your screen, and you just save it in a file. To use it, you just import it like you would any file that contained a key. That's definately a cool idea. I think I'd preer the business card CDRs though - easier to carry (in your wallet). And put a linux install on there too for good measure :) I just did a quick google search and found a 50 pack of business card CDRs for $42.50 on the 1st hit. They hold about 50mb. -- "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." - Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956) http://www.ChaosReigns.com ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
