Are you saying that urgent security patches take longer to release for testing than they do for stable ??

This is exactly the problem. Assuming that a security fix is uploaded to stable and unstable at the same time (the usuall case), testing will get that fix a *minumum* of two days later.

The time it takes to move a package from unstable to testing is controlled by the priority that the maintainer gives it (high = 2 days, medium = ? days, low = 10 days).
