Slightly OT too, but, In a related story... I have a WAP cellphone, (Nokia 7160), that allows me the opportunity to set connection settings and make data calls that I can use the WAP browser with... but it asks for a dial-up number (I assume my ISP) and an IP address.. but I don't know what it wants for an IP address... a DNS server? some sort of WAP gateway? I don't know... If I wanted this access through my cellphone provider, I would have to pay $$ per month for it, but I assume since I am already paying for an ISP, I _should_ be able to use the phone with that ISP.. (whatever it is.) Other things it asks me: authentication type "normal" or "secure" username, and password. and homepage (I assume a start page, I guess it is good to use a pre-programmed-for-WAP portal or something.) oh, and connection type... "continuous" or "temporary" any ideas? information? suggestions? thanks. -- msimons@slackware.com INFORMATION*MEDIA*PHOTOGRAPHY msimonsmail@yahoo.com Creative Artists Resource Project: www.slackware.com/~msimons/arts/reuse/ A 501(c)3 Non-profit Organization Arts and Environmental Resource Network Shopping Online?
