OK, here we go again. New openings. 1) Oracle PL/SQL coder. VLDB environment (1/2 billion records). Need to be able to review current code, interview outgoing person. 2 openings, same project, very important. Maybe contract, maybe perm. Depends on person and what we determine to do with the project after the review. 2) Production person / technical coordinator. Same project. Will need to babysit an atrocious production job, lots of stupid interaction, will be several months before new equipment is in place to allow for most of it to be automated. The job doesn't disappear at that point, but becomes much higher level. QC, detail oriented, comfortable with Unix, Perl and shell would be nice. SQL would be great, but not required. Hours will be AWFUL, current production kills a person, ie: 2 in the afternoon to 5 in the morning. Not sure how to split this up between multiple people, and the process is time critical. Most likely 2 openings, shift it out?. About to replace the equipment with something 4 times faster, with much more disk, so 99% will be automated, with no nightly babysitting after 2 or 3 months. 3) Oracle DBA, Unix. Install, track TARs, help tune, interact with Unix admins for bacups and restores. Ask Gabe about the environment. In Ivyland, close to Warminster. ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
