DSL "Modem" --> Linux router/firewall ---> hub --> all other PCs into hub You won't even need the extra IPs, for standard Internet connectivity, since the Linux box will take care of "masquerading" them. (needing a static IP for a VPN connection into work does not qualify a "standard". Yet. :-) > To point me in the right direction, what is what I want to do called? MUCH simpler to use. Get a PC w/2 NICs (Network Interface cards) and you can be up and running, firewalled and all, in about 10 minutes. Maybe less. http://leaf.sourceforge.net Been using LEAF for 2 or 3 years, myself. > > Thanks, > > Greg > > > > > ______________________________________________________________________ > Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org > Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce > General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug > > -- -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael J.
