Somebody (sorry; I've forgotten your name) mentioned problems with Win2K accessing Samaba shares. My Win2K Pro machine can see and acces a Samba 2.0.6 share from RH 6.2. Yeah, it's an old Samba. :-) # rpm -qa | grep samba samba-2.0.6-9 samba-client-2.0.6-9 samba-common-2.0.6-9 The machine is also running as WINS, and my Win2K is set to use it as the WINS server. Additionally, I do have an internal DNS onsite, and both machines are in it. If you don't have an internal DNS server, maybe if you try putting the Samba machine in the LMHOSTS file in \winnt\system32\drivers\etc? As well as in the \winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file? -- O! Water cold we may pour at need down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed; but better is Beer, if drink we lack, and Water Hot poured down the back.
