PPPoE is irritating and wierd to me, with a static IP, but are there actual security or other issues with it? What I have is Earthlink, and I have to use PPPoE - Earthlink just reserves for me and always gives me the same IP. This is a home account, and I got the static IP so I can run a server from home (yes, I have their permission).
