I feel that PLUG members helping each other find jobs is great, on topic, and a nice bonus which though not why I joined the list I'd like to see stay. Just guessing, I would risk that the great majority of the list does (or did or wants to) work in technology, some as 'NIX admins, some not - but the list surely isn't all Linux hobbyists with no livelihood from IT or MIS - my point being that employment posts can be on topic. I would consider pure recruiter posts or basically stuff not coming from members with at least some level of activity, as SPAM. We could decide on a standard subject line so that people could easily filter this stuff out, ie, "OT: Employment Post: " or some such thing... I realize this is a touchy issue, and also that many people, myself included, are looking for work. What I did a few times to avoid posting openings I'd found that I thought others would be interested in seeing, was to email directly off list to the few people I found who were/are also job hunting. So can we make an alias to a group where people can toggle in and out of employment posts, then as long as everyone posts to the alias the whole thing would be transparent and everyone would be happy. (Still no money for PLUG though.)
