Ah, but *then* that exposes the front of the monitor to the other wall,
making me vulnerable to Tempest from the next room, assuming that
Tempest actually exists in a usable form today. :)

Speaking of Tempest, seen Tempest for Eliza?  It demonstrates quite
clearly that the principles are sound.  I haven't played with the MP3
version yet (I'd tried it before MP3 support was added), but my radio
quite clearly played Fur Elise (misspelled since I'm a bad world citizen
and don't know how to enter characters with umlauts).
