Jon, thanks, but I don't use X on my Linux box. It's mostly a web server, and doesn't need gui for that. It does sound like WINS is where I should focus my efforts though. It's interesting that I have never used WINS before, and now that I want my Linux box to be a more integraded part of my network, I need to turn on WINS.
