Hello Greg & fellow PLUGgers ! Unix & my missus (who badmouths Unix all the time but who also recognizes certain similarities between Unix and Linux) found: http://websrv.cs.fsu.edu/sysinfo/bookmark.html Which explains, in a nutshell, to first bring down Nuclear Holocaust on the /home/user0/.netscape directory and then open Netscape all over again, from the very beginning. This did the trick and would be easy if there were a simple way of saving all the right preferences before doing so. Actually, Konqueror wouldn't let me delete .netscape, so I had to select everything in that directory and then delete the selection. Thanks for suggesting that I delve into "preferences.js" I'll next take a look at it to see what gives there.
