You should have a bunch of DHCP messages in /var/log/syslog on your DHCP
server:

May 12 06:29:25 workhorse dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:c0:15:00:a3:e1 via eth0
May 12 06:29:25 workhorse dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.100.50 to 00:c0:15:00:a3:e1 via eth0
May 12 06:29:25 workhorse dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:c0:15:00:a3:e1 via eth0
May 12 06:29:25 workhorse dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.100.50 to 00:c0:15:00:a3:e1 via eth0
May 12 06:29:25 workhorse dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.100.50 from 00:c0:15:00:a3:e1 via eth0
May 12 06:29:25 workhorse dhcpd-2.2.x: DHCPACK on 192.168.100.50 to 00:c0:15:00:a3:e1 via eth0
