anyone know how to do this in win2k? i'd like to convert the ps to pdf.

If you insist on Windows, there are several different ways, The Ghostview/Ghostscript combination will do it easily, that's the simplest method. If you're using Wp9 or wp10, it prints to PDF, so there would be no need to generate a PS file. Oh yes a word of advice, be sure that the printer driver selected actually uses PS, it makes it a lot easier to actually do, rather than having a PRN or PS file that really is not PS.

One easy way to this in a way that works if you are not sure you have a ps driver installed is to download Adobe's free PostScript printer driver from their web site and choose FILE: as the printer port. If you don't have the FILE: device configured, choose LPT1: or anything and check the "Print to file" box in the Print dialog.

The Adobe driver has some nice features, like watermarks and 4-up printing.
