Verizon uses PPPOE, so be sure to chose that during the RH install (I believe it's still an option in the networking section of the install). Basically, you have to actually initiate the connection, same as you would on dial-up (so much for "always on" ...:-), and then close the connection when done. You'll almost certainly be getting a DHCP address over the PPPOE (don't worry; the PPPOE client - usually the Roaring Penguin client - takes care of all that for you). -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 7.0.4 -- QDPGP 2.68 Comment: http://community.wow.net/grt/qdpgp.html iQA/AwUBPPzDvZq0HvZapbzfEQL2GgCfWjY5EWML0FpSoZ1M5WPehyIhe+0AnRi2 qZja2ifeDcPEgSKLgLTrRJvh =Ix+N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
