If I lose my mind and decide to run hobby servers again for free, I would probably go back to using the line that's coming through the wall to the FlowPoint, which doesn't appear to have anyone claiming it from me, though I think it's actually the former Netaxs's and I probably should turn it in when I get my server out of colo. I think that line can just plug straight into a small router, which is essentially what the FlowPoint is, if I understand correctly. > > So maybe you can do what I did - sign up and suffer with Verizon for > 4-6 weeks; then switch ISP service to someone else, while keeping > Verizon as line provider. > > This way you don't have to pay $200 extra for the modem; you already > have it, curtesy of your sentence .. err, stint ... at Verizon. :-) If the British are the lead in this, the telcos are going to start selling barebones directly to end users, residential as well as commercial. I also am very tired of role account spam due to NetSol's practices or why ever I get what I get at contact@ogoense.net. -- Rebecca Ore http://www.ogoense.net ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
