I don't want to tackle this until I have the cdrom problem straightened 
out.  I'll come back to it then, and will probably need more help.

I hope Bill is right and this is a message for the zip drive.  One of 
the reasons the woman recommended the drive to me was that it was 
"nothing fancy"/needs no special drivers ATAPI.  Also, the install 
program seemed to have no problem mounting and using the same cdrom.
