[PLUG] Adding shares to a W98PC-LinuxPC network

Hello fellow PLUGgers !

Aha ! Answered my own questions [shuffle, shuffle].

Revelation: That word in brackets, [home], is the name of
the shared directory. That wasn't obvious to this fellow
who's always looking for hidden meanings ...

So I changed the appropriate lines in [smb.conf]:

	[vol1] (was: [archives])
	path = /vol1/user0
	comment = Archives Directories
	#   browseable = no
	browseable = yes
	writable = yes
	valid users = user0 (was: [%s])
	create mode = 0664
        directory mode = 0775
	# If you want users samba doesn't recognize to be
	   mapped to a guest user
	; map to guest = bad user

and this works. I added a [vol2] similarly. Text is cheap.

Thanks for your helpful & cheerful involvement.

Best regards,
George Langford
