Fwiw, my CTO just told some contract web monkey, who'd asked about ASP stuff and wanted a colo box to be Win2k, (also paraphrased): "Our colo environment is RedHat Linux 7.2 with Apache. The available application server software is PHP, Perl, or ColdFusion hitting MySQL or PostgreSQL on the backend. It's possible for the backend to be MS SQLServer or Oracle 8i if absolutely necessary." So it'd seem this kind of thing is happening more and more... -- gabriel rosenkoetter gr@eclipsed.net ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
