Re: [PLUG] Pascal?

Yes,
But there is the problem that the only laptop I have that's powerful
enough to really run X and Kylix has that "other" system on it. I
suppose technically it doesn't matter, but it "just wouldn't be right"
to demo on Delphi...

if people are interested, I would be interested to know which is more
interesting:

a.) Pascal language: i.e. Pascal compared to C and other languages,
proper ways to organize and code in pascal. Advantages and
Disadvantages, how to use OOP, libraries, etc. (This would be more
interesting to those interested in programming).

b.) Delphi/Kylix (and Lazarus, the free/open alternative): Skip over
most of the details of pascal itself, and show how to make
cross-platform GUI programs using mainly built-in components. (This
would be more interesting to those interested in developing business
apps).

My interest is mainly A, but I can certainly show either. I have a
feeling that the interest at PLUG may be mainly B.
