I'm assuming you really want xinetd. If you just want ftp to work then
ignore the rest of this email.
In a way it's nice to use xinetd. I have telnet and (now) ftp running
through xinetd. I would only use those services from one LAN PC to
another. Since I don't use them much, it's good that they're not
running util xinetd calls them to action.
