At the last meeting someone mentioned (sorry, I forgot your name) Rt2, Request Tracker 2, a web based (command line and email gateway too) helpdesk/project management application. Well, I had been trying to install this program when I happened along Bugtrack. http://www.agstools.com/products/bt.html I am not trying to say it is better than RT2 but Bugtrack installed in a snap, though the documentation leaves a little to be desired. If anyone is still searching for a quick and easy web based helpdesk app this may be the one for you. Wanna give it a try? Need some help getting it installed? Let me know either via the mailing list or off-list... I can help. The basic format and customizable template based features make it a sure fire winner for use as the internal helpdesk app where I work. I will be contacting the author to see if the app can use a more detailed install guide. I basically had never used Postres before and found it easier to learn how to use CPAN to install the dbi::mysql driver necessary to use MySQL instead. In the process I learned a lot about CPAN and how easy to use it can be. Cheers! Kam. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
