I'm attempting to run a patched 2.4.18 kernel. i took the vanilla kernel and applied a patch for some stuff for my notebook (ACPI, IEEE1394, SONYPI, etc). When I try to boot, it bombs. The message is cryptic (below) and I can't see all the messages because it scrolls to fast. so i don't know where exactly it's failing. - does anyone understand this error? thanks Chris error (transposed as best i can at this hour) VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) redonly.
