I have /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 iIt has a module section.  It loads

Section "Module"
        Load  "GLcore"
        Load  "dbe"
        Load  "extmod"
        Load "fbdevhw"
        Load "pex5"
        Load "dri"
        Load  "glx"
        Load  "pex5"
        Load  "record"
        Load  "xie"
EndSection

This includes the "extmod" that Mental thought might contain "RENDER". Where can I go from here? (no wise cracks <g>)




Do you have multiple versions of x installed? what does xdpyinfo say about teh render extension?
