I was the one who asked this question about 6 months ago. I finally got a
data cable for the R280LX about a month ago on eBay. it works perfecting
under windows using the driver that is downloadable from
http://wap.sonyericsson.com. Under Linux, using the modem init strings
from the .inf windows config file, it dials and connects fine, but hangs
up after 2 minutes. I've been travelling and haven't had any time to play
with it.

I cannot get it to work with a Palm yet, however I'd assume you'd just use
the same init strings and it should work. I don't have the right
connector to connect the cell phone to the palm so I can't test it out..

Once I have time to play with it some more, hopefully soon, I will create
a website with all the config info and some pictures and stuff.

P.S. to Brian, sorry I didn't answer your personal email to me; I was in
Seattle all week and just got home this afternoon.
