I am trying to install some software that uses the perl 5 interpreter.
I don't know any perl, and the program came with an install script that
downloads, installs and configures the modules it needs to run. There
was a problem with the script, so the author sent me a new one. Now, I
am getting the error
Unrecognized character \xA0 at install.pl line 22.
As line 22 has nothing unusual in it, I am wondering whether Perl skips
comments at the begining of a script in calculating the line number?
Any ideas what character \xA0 might be?
