I notice that my AMD K3-400 with 256M ram runs unacceptably slowly with 
RH7.3 and KDE (3?).  You click and wait.  Win98 runs much faster but I'm 
incredibly green, so I might be at fault.

Damn near.  This was one of the apps that spurred building a linux box.  I 
do need a few Outlook features that aren't there but it's a good program.
