Compared to Windows, *yes*, longer history.  What is XP based on?  What 
is Win95 based on?  What is Windows 3.1 based on?  The only thing that 
has a long history in Windows is DOS, which M$ would like to get rid of. 
Linux has been Linux since it was created.  And compared to Linux DOS 
is pathetic!
