OpenOffice does a decent enough job. For the most part very few
companies take advantage of complex document features that are
unsupported.

Instead, as AGAINST, I would add:

Lack of support for conversion of existing MS Office customizations
(When we swithched over, opening a document or spreadsheet was easy.
The problem was all of those document assembly templates that evolved
over the years. Macro language compatibility is barely there.)

Lack of support for a lot of "legacy data" -- formats that are no
longer supported, but which the business needs occasional access to.
