Uh, even if they aren't on this mail list, a Google search could point one of your coworkers to this message!

Having said that, I will eventually put together a system that looks like Windows enough to fool them. If I can pull this one off, maybe I can deploy a few desktops. Heaven knows I won't have to worry about them installing instant messengers (or much of anything else).

There are IMs for Linux, but locking down a system like you can do with XP/NT/2k might prevent that. Linux by default has tighter security than Windows. (I hate it when Windows is locked down because I can't do what I want, but that's the point here.)
