W. Chris Shank (chris.shank@acetechgroup.com) had this to say on 12/15/02 at 20:05: > I'm not that excited by Win4Lin. It still requires fully licensed > windows. So it's still windows. So if your going to do that, most people > will opt just to use windows. I suppose it could be useful in some > special cases, but I'd rather try to replace the windows programs with > functionally equivalent linux programs. Sometimes, there aren't any functionally equivalent programs (which is why I run Win4Lin, to run MS Money, for electronic bill paying). Also, with Win4Lin, you're not dual-booting. Also, even Crossover Plugin doesn't play all QuickTime or Windows Media Player streams, and there are many sites that just won't work otherwise. -- PGP Fingerprint: 0AA8 DC47 CB63 AE3F C739 6BF9 9AB4 1EF6 5AA5 BCDF Member, LEAF Project <http://leaf.sourceforge.net> AIM: MikeLeone Public Key - <http://www.mike-leone.com/~turgon/turgon-public-key.asc> Registered Linux user# 201348 Attachment:
