Title: (OT) Job Posting- Great for student

Our client in Conshohocken is looking for a part time Unix operator to work on their homegrown System V Unix. The shifts are Mon, Wed, Fri 3:30 PM - 7PM and Saturday from 9AM - 3PM. It's about 20 hours per week, with a great company on an ongoing contract basis. The person that we have in this role now worked all through Drexel while working for us and is now moving on. This position requires some kind of technical education or light experience and understanding of basic commands. The description is below.

Ownership of automated and manual Batch Processing cycles to ensure timely and accurate information processing and distribution to internal and external clients.

Provide first line of support in troubleshooting failed processes.
Provide analytical problem solving skills to ensure timely and accurate problem resolution and communication. 
Incident tracking and analysis to identify areas of risk trends and identify areas of improvement to reduce associated business risks.

Ownership of Change Management controls into the firms batch environment.
Monitor the DataCenter's environmental controls, schedule preventative maintenance and service, and effectively act on alarm conditions. 

Ability to safely shutdown the firms environment during times of power disruptions. 
Special Projects - Identify opportunities to re-engineer existing practices with an eye towards continued automation, business growth, improved service level agreements, and risk reduction techniques. 

Documentation - Ensure timely and accurate updates.  Maintain off site copies for disaster recovery, and find opportunities to provide access via automated tools
