I put a Linux Box (Red Hat 8.0) into operation at work as an FTP server. Then we had a problem with our web hosting and had to move the main web site in house. I had installed Tux not expecting it to be a web server, and Tux works fine. Now the server needs a form, and it looks like the version of Tux installed supports CGI, and I configured its CGI directory in tux.conf. It just doesn't work. One thing that may or may not be an issue is that scripts don't execute off the command line: http://www.site/cgi-bin/hello.pl --> get the raw text of the script. # hello.pl --> command not found. (script has execute permission). # ./hello.pl --> executes hello.pl Before I have to stay late and install apache, has anyone gotten cgi scripts to work with tux? _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
