[PLUG] dnd delay (4 second) 

I've started noticing recently a 4 second delay on DNS queries
originating on two of my machines. Sending named a SIGUSR1 doesn't
increase log verbosity.  Before I compile a new named from scratch
just to get logging, any suggestions what might be going on? A timeout
would normally take much longer than this.
