Under solaris 8, when ghostview is used, there are errors in the text.
In some cases, there is a random, large space in between the first letter
and the second letter in certain words.
This is consistent across a few versions of ghostview.
When ghostscript is used, the gaps disappear, but other words overlap at
random places as if one had typed over the same place several times.
