Are they really still using Halon, though? I would have expected them to have upgraded to a less human-unfriendly setup by now. (Though, maybe it doesn't matter much; it's pretty seldom that a human should be in the cage.) You're making the assumption that (1)there are managers who care about the people who work under them and/or (2)the insurance/legal types have noticed this disaster waiting to happen and demanded that something be done about it. In any case, the kinds of dangers that managers ignore every day are pretty scary sometimes. Don't give them too much credit for putting the safety of their subordinates ahead of short term gain through negligence. - -- (See mail headers for more info) "What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?" - Mahatma Gandhi -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (Darwin) iEYEARECAAYFAj62iCgACgkQYPuF4Zq9lvZdcgCg0hlmue2AlcZgXNkdKuGO9J4T b/IAoPKVb44kzWpVDEQVfh5N0RIE+4MN =ijw5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
