It seems that everyone is assuming no, or little, work experience when it comes to getting a job after earning a MIS or CS degree. With experience, wouldn't the actual name of the degree carry less weight than the fact that you have *a* degree?

You know what? Life /is/ kinda of short. Maybe it's best to do what you really like to do and take a program which is in line with those interests.
