Hi,

IceWM is very light and fast, and is fully-GNOME- and
mostly-KDE-compatible, so you can run the apps you've become accustomed
to. Not to mention that its quite configurable, with four simple text
files to edit to change any one of its many options. Docklets are
particularly easy to write for Ice, as well. Check it out:
